Maritime Ink

Tattoos have skyrocketed in popularity over the past decade. In 2010 about 40 percent of millennials had at least one tattoo and that number has increased. Young, high fashion runway models are often adorned with body art.

Maritime Ink explores the various facets of the tattoo subculture. Each episode visits a tattoo shop to learn about their style, influences, and art. With a clientele across the region ranging in age and background, the series features the intimate stories of people and their tattoos.

The show is made in association with Eastlink Community TV. It is produced with the assistance of the Government of Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Film & Television Production Incentive Fund.

I Have A Suggestion for Maritime Ink!
Please enter your email, so we can follow up with you.
Please provide us as much detail as you can about your suggestion. If you are nominating a shop tell us why you are nominating that shop and what makes them special. We can only feature 13 per season. If you are telling us about your tattoo give us as much information as possible about why we should feature it. We'll make every effort to respond to every suggestion and if we can't include it this year, then we'll keep it in mind for a coming season.
