Maritime Ink
Tattoos have skyrocketed in popularity over the past decade. In 2010 about 40 percent of millennials had at least one tattoo and that number has increased. Young, high fashion runway models are often adorned with body art.
Maritime Ink explores the various facets of the tattoo subculture. Each episode visits a tattoo shop to learn about their style, influences, and art. With a clientele across the region ranging in age and background, the series features the intimate stories of people and their tattoos.
The show is made in association with Eastlink Community TV. It is produced with the assistance of the Government of Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Film & Television Production Incentive Fund.
